Advanced Collection Methods

For more advanced GPX data collection, use dedicated GPS devices like the Garmin GPSMAP 67i.

These devices offer higher precision data and more consistent data for trail running. After running a trail, these devices allow for the easy exportation of GPX files which can be directly uploaded to TrailRunners.

In addition, LiDAR datasets from organisations like QSpatial, allow for more refined analysis of trails. You can use these LiDAR datasets in conjunction with your GPX files on TrailRunners, by finding LiDAR datasets that contain the location where your GPX data was collected from.
